Our Story:

"Kappa Delta Sorority is committed to providing opportunities and experiences that inspire women to greatness."

Appalachian State University founded the Kappa Delta Epsilon Epsilon chapter in 1973. Since then, KD's have been keeping the tradition alive, as well as innovating new ideas, events, and projects!

Shamrock Pancake Dinner

Our annual Shamrock event, the beloved Pancake Dinner, is held in March each year. This event raises money for The Watauga Children's  Council as well as Prevent Child Abuse America. In 2013, we raised over $16,000 and has been the biggest philanthropy on Appalachain's campus for the past five years.

Girl Scouts of America

The KD's of Appalachian State University hold multiple events every year with the Girl Scout troops in Boone, NC. We concentrate on storing confidence in each and every girl. Our past events include, Halloween on the Hall, Bullying workshops, Spirit of Giving, and many more. The sisters of Kappa Delta enjoy spending time with the young girls, and being their mentors.

Another popular event we hold is Bark in the Park to support the Humane Society of Boone. Students on campus can walk dogs for an hour for a small fee, to support a bigger cause.
